Tilting the drum mixer: Tilting drum mixers are used for large projects where construction work is intensive. And these drum mixers deliver concrete by gravity, which then tilts the drum downwards. Due to this, it will not segregate the obtained concrete mixture.

These mixers are best suited for low-efficiency mixes and are mixed with super aggregates. Discharge of concrete from a drum by tilting downwards is known as tilting drum mixers. And these concrete mixers are not suitable for producing high-performance concrete.

Non-tilting the drum mixer: Non-tilting mixers are stationary and have a horizontal axis. Non-titling drum mixers are generally used for smaller projects. After mixing, the concrete is discharged through that ramp.

The drum has two open ends and a blade inside the drum, which helps to mix the poured material from one end, and the concrete mixture can be ejected from the other.

The non-tilting concrete mix makes it suitable for loud aggregates. A non-tilting concrete mixer is extremely difficult to clean.

Reversing drum mixer: Reversing drum mixers are similar to non-tilting type mixers, but the system is unfavorable for a separate operation.

The drum has two holes; One end is for pouring the material, and the other is for the discharge of the mixture. The drum rotates around its horizontal axis.

In a reversing drum mixer, the concrete components rotate in only one guidance and discharge in the reverse guidance.

Two separate sets of blades are arranged for mixing and dispersing. This type of concrete mixer is suitable for that dry mixing concrete.

Pan-type mixers: These are known as “non-mobile mixers.” They cannot move from one place to another. This is one reason it is less popular than other concrete mixers.

There are two types of pan mixers available. In one case, the circular leaf is continuous, and only the star blade rotates around the vertical axis of the leaf.

In another case, the circular blade rotates while the blade is in a stationary position. But in both cases, the mixture is useful, and the concrete mixture is collected through the central hole provided in the pan.

Continuous mixers: The concrete blocks are continuously poured at one end as new concrete comes out at the other end. Continuous concrete mixers are one type of mixer.
